1. Keith Galloway (West Tigers)
Galloway was an Australian Schoolboy in 2002 and has since become full time footballer first for the Cronulla Sharks from 2003 to 2005 and now for the West Tigers.
2. Lance Thompson (St George Dragons & Cronulla Sharks)
Thompson epitomises a red haired player, tough, a work horse who is constantly playing with injury and openly bleeding on the field. He made his debut with the Dragons in 1995 when he was 17 and left the club a decade later and moved to the Sharks before retiring from his new club after round 6 due to health reasons.
3. Paul Vautin (Manly Sea Eagles & Sydney Roosters)
Arguably the king of redheads in rugby league. Vautin played 10 years for his beloved Eagles before finishing his career at Eastern Suburbs. He has become more famous since his retirement because of his hosting of the Footy Show and his nickname 'Fatty'. Vautin played 22 State of Origins for Queensland and 13 Tests for Australia.
4. Brett Dallas (Canterbury Bulldogs & North Sydney Bears)
Brett Dallas reinvented the rugby league redhead from a tough, hard working forward to a speed demon, outside back. Dallas represented Australia six times between 1995 and 1997 and was fittingly nicknamed the 'king of the wing'.
5. Alan Tongue (Canberra Raiders)
Tongue has been at the Raiders for 10 seasons and in is a hard working lock forward that made 1,087 tackles in the 2006 season.
6. Steve Southern (North Queensland Cowboys)
Nicknamed 'Bluey Southern' by commentator and larrikin Matthew Johns, Steve Southern has been playing for the Cowboys for five seasons and despite injury is closing in on his 100th first grade appearance.
7. Brad Meyers (Gold Coast Titans & Brisbane Broncos)
Meyers is a former Australian schoolboy who played 6 years for the Brisbane Broncos winning a grand final before transferring overseas to the Bradford Bulls where he tasted English Super League glory against Leeds in 2005. He now plays for the Gold Coast Titans.
8. Nick Graham (Cronulla Sharks)
Graham is a rangy red headed lock forward who had played for the Cronulla Sharks and West Tigers in the NRL and the Wigan Warriors in the English Super League.
9. Sean Rudder (Newcastle Knights & Sydney Roosters)
Rudder played for the Newcastle Knights for six seasons before heading overseas and playing a season with the Castleford Tigers in England, the Catalans Dragons in France and a season of Japanese Rugby Union before popping back up at the Sydney Roosters this season.
10. Peter Wallace (Penrith Panthers & Brisbane Broncos)
Wallace is a different sort of red head all together. Blessed with passing and kicking skills unlike any other red head the rugby league world had seen he made his state of origin debut this year and excelled despite his age and inexperience. He is a red head of the future.
